Lisa AndrasiPortfolioARTIST STATMENTArt is in the process, the resulting work although beautiful is a by-product of the process. BiographyI have been working in art and crafts for over thirty years. My first love is drawing. I started drawing when I was two years old and have never stopped. as I grew I progressed to painting and photography, working for a while as a freelance photographer and for a commercial studio. In the mid eighties I discovered the wonders and beauty of clay and wheel-thrown pottery. The love of the feel of the clay in my hands and a interest in the human form lead me down the path of sculpting miniature human figures. I have been teaching crafts classes for about fifteen years and there is almost no craft I haven't learned and passed on to others through private and community class, and various public school programs. My current goal is to teach art at the post-secondary level. To accomplish this goal I am working on my own education. To view items click on the images below. | |||
